Learn to breathe consciously and confidently in your yoga practice and daily life.

Come and explore the world of yoga through the lens of pranayama - ancient yogic breathing techniques handed down over the ages. This 2 hour workshop will give you the knowledge of how to breathe correctly and consciously, developing not only your yoga practice but your ability to better manage your own energy. We will focus on activating our diaphragm, expanding our lung capacity and creating a higher intake of oxygen from each breath. From here we will introduce bandhas “a yogic interior lock” - where they are, what they do, how we can strengthen and use them to contain our energy.

The benefits of this workshop are:

  • improved energy flow in the body

  • practice and understand various techniques to calm the mind and control the nervous system

  • gain a greater expansion of the breath, increased blood circulation and oxygen to the brain

  • an understanding of the use of bandhas for strength and energy during your yoga practice

This workshop is open to all levels of practitioner
