I am a homebody by nature. I could easily spend my days just hanging out at home with my husband and my two young boys, drinking endless cups of tea and listening to music. I love nothing more than whipping up something yummy to eat for family and friends. I'm also into health, natural healing and wholesome organic food. And I love yoga. It has changed my life in so many ways. It has guided me, nurtured me and allowed me to grow into a much more grounded and positive person.

Having entered the critical world of modeling at age 14, I struggled with body image, anxiety and self-esteem for most of my teens and 20s. It was in 2001, when I was living and modeling in New York, I stumbled into my first yoga class at my local gym. At first I thought yoga would be a good way to spice up my fitness regimen. Of course I appreciated all the physical benefits such as strength and flexibility but what I uncovered was a deeper, more meaningful connection to myself. Quite quickly I found I was opening my heart to be more compassionate and caring to myself and the world around me. I was amazed at how through this practice I gained a sense of clarity, learning to cope with my anxiety in healthy ways and feeling more confident and content. What it taught me was how to calm my mind, allowing me to focus on what truly is important in my life. Now as a mother to two small boys and after having been diagnosed with an autoimmune disease ten years ago, yoga has become a constant tool for me to maintain balance and health both physically and mentally.

I left the fast-paced world of fashion (although sometimes I do get dragged out of retirement now and then) to pursue my passion for yoga.  I have now been teaching for over thirteen years and have co-facilitated 200hr teacher trainings and retreats for the last five years. My strength lies in making yoga feel accessible to beginners and advanced students alike.

“My desire and purpose as a teacher and trainer is to inspire you to be the best version of yourself so you can navigate through your life with more compassion, ease and presence.”

I love teaching yoga and therefore I'm a devoted and dedicated student. I have studied and trained with so many amazing teachers from around the globe. My main teacher Shiva Rea is a constant source of inspiration for my teaching and Rod Stryker has deeply transformed my life practice. Teachers appear for many different reasons and come in all sorts of packages. I believe my greatest teachers to be my life, my experiences, my relationships, my children and of course my students!

I teach a range of classes from the soft and meditative to the sweaty and vigorous. My style is playful and light-hearted. I believe in empowering students through intelligent sequencing and I encourage everyone not to take themselves too seriously. Expect to be challenged, to laugh (mostly at me for being a dork) and to have fun. I also like to whip out my harmonium and sing to you! My hope is that you step off the mat feeling refreshed, nourished and balanced.

You can practice with me in Melbourne at Assembly Yoga and Radiant Sol where I teach weekly public classes.  Or you can practice with me at home with my online classes and guided meditations. I am so passionate about sharing the joy and benefits that yoga can bring to your life.  I look forward to meeting you and seeing you on the mat soon at one of my workshops, retreats or trainings so come and say hi!
